Henderson State Park is one of those little known Destin Florida Hotel attractions. It offers camping with facilities that are extremely clean. To try to minimize the amount of sand in your tent they even have gravel sites. The site is along the beach but can be a long walk depending on exactly where you site is so splurging for a cart may be a good idea. The view, as you would expect is incredible. dolphins just offshore both in the morning and at dusk. the number for the park is (850) 244-5169 and it's located at 1010 Miracle Strip Pkwy South, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Another attraction in Destin Resorts that seems to fly under the radar is a cruise on the SOLARIS which is docked at Baytowne wharf in the community of San Destin. I used to watch it go by each night with the really bright white lights when I stayed in San Destin Hotels. With three decks, this luxury yacht can safely carry 150 passengers and is often used for weddings and other special events. The boat is perfect for a romantic dinner as it often sets sail just before sunset in the summer. Whether it be a corporate event or other big party, a trip on the SOLARIS is a lot of fun.
